paste. diy wheatpaste can easily be produced in your own kitchen. all you need is some all purpose flour, a pot full of water, and a stove. heat water close to a boil, mix about 2/3 of the heated water and your flour in a separate container (preferably the one you'll be using to transport your glue). this mix should end up being a thick glop about the consistency of thick oatmeal. you should then pour this back into the pot with the rest of the heated water and cook the mixture. after stirring for a while, you'll notice the paste  starting to clarify slightly and seize up a bit. your final product should be about the color and texture of glue. (it should be noted that wheatpaste has a shelf-life of less than a day so leftovers should be cleaned immediately or frozen.)

recommended reading. writings on "guerrilla etiquette & technique" on Robbie Conal's website. A good introduction to those new to subversive public arts.
